How to Download to your eDevice
These handouts will help you download items to your eDevice:
All of our Nooks have been loaded with a selection of Bestselling Fiction and Nonfiction. This is your chance to get acquainted with “the World’s Most Advanced eBook Reader!”
Books on Main’s Nooks:

Individuals 18 years or older with a Mentor Public Library card in good standing can check out a Nook eReader for two weeks with up to four renewals (if no one else is waiting).
If you are interested in checking out a Nook, please take a look at our Electronic Device Guidelines and User Agreement. You may also reserve a Nook online using our catalog. (Just do a keyword or title search for “Nook”).
Kindle Fires @ MPL
All of our Kindle Fires have been loaded with a selection of Fiction and Nonfiction books, as well as a number of apps.

iPads
Apple iPads are now available for you to enjoy at the Main Library. iPads have been loaded with a number of fun and useful apps. You may check out an iPad for one week with no renewal. If you are interested in using an iPad, please take a look at our Electronic Device Guidelines and User Agreement.
Nook Guide and Tutorials
Tutorials are available on the Nook itself. Turn on the Nook, then select “My Library” from the menu. Scroll through the titles to find “Nook Tour” and “Nook User Guide.” Make your selection and press the circle on the lower right to open.
If the Nook is not responding…
In the rare case that your Nook is not responding, try these steps one at a time to get it fully functioning again:
- Press and hold the power button for 20-seconds and then release. Then press it again to power up your Nook.
- The battery on your Nook may be completely drained. Connect your Nook to a wall outlet using the Nook AC-Adapter and charge your Nook for at least 2 hours.
