Build a Better World with art

Show us how you would build a better world with your artwork.

Show us how you would build a better world with your artwork.

Teens, get your paints, pencil, or play-doh ready. We’re having an art contest.

The theme is Build a Better World, (which coincides un-coincidentally with our Summer Reading program.)

Here are the rules:

  • Drawings must stick to our summer-reading theme (although you can interpret thetheme however you want—literally, figuratively, with drawings or Duplo.)
  • All drawings must be appropriate and cannot feature sex, violence, or profanity.
  • Fan art is encouraged but must fit the theme.
  • All art must be given a title and submitted at the Reference Desk of our Main Branch.
  • All art must be turned in by July 15 to be considered for the contest.

The artwork will be on display at our Main Branch this summer, and the winning artist will get a cool prize!

Speaking of prizes, you still have time to sign up for Summer Reading too.

Everyone who participates in the our summer reading program has a chance to win prizes. The more you read, the better chance you have of winning. You can register at any of our branches.

For more information on our summer reading program, call us or check out our event calendar.
