Building the box village

Children transformed old cardboard into a Box Metropolis at our Lake Branch.

Children built a box metropolis—Box-tropolis?—earlier this summer at our Lake Branch.

All they needed was some old cardboard and imagination to build a bustling box village.

So many items in and around your house can be transformed into craft supplies. You can turn old soda-can boxes into enormous Jenga pieces; newspaper into a planter; and uncooked rice and a plastic egg into maracas.

See what you can build this summer. And keep an eye on our event calendar for more fun building programs at the library.
