Make Waves @ Mentor Public Library

It's not too late to join in the fun! We’ve got pirates and scavenger hunts, we’ve got bubbles and water balloons, we’ve got extra special story times and so much more! This year’s summer reading program is bigger and better than ever! Make waves to the library starting June 11 and participants 18 years old and younger can start reading their way to a great summer!

End of Summer Party @ The Read House

Bring the family and celebrate the end of a great summer on the Read House lawn on Tuesday, August 10 at 6:00 pm. There'll be games and three super fun inflatable's for you to explore. Prepare to get wild! No registration required.

Lake County Captains Game @ Classic Park

Earn a free ticket to the Sunday, August 15 Captains game when you join our summer reading game and read for six hours this summer. Parade around the field and show off your reading accomplishments. You’ll receive a mail-in certificate for your free ticket and the opportunity to buy reduced tickets for other family members. Deadline to mail in your certificates is August 6.

Storytime for Children with Special Needs

Does your child have a difficult time staying seated? Become easily frustrated? Call out without raising his/her hand? Use pictures to communicate? Have developmental delays? Need to move his/her body in order to learn? If the answer is yes, please join us on Thursday, August 19 at 7:00 pm for an evening that will include an opening activity, story music movement activity and an art project. Guest Facilitator will be Marcia Carlile M.Ed., a licensed Early Childhood Intervention Specialist Resource Consultant for the Positive Education Program. Attendees must be between the ages of 3 Years and 10 Years old, be between the grades of K and 4, and MUST give 24 hour cancellation notice to allow others on the waiting list to attend.
