Comics for all at Mentor Public Library

Love comics? We have a club for that.

Love comics? We have a club for that.

Does your child love comics—reading them, writing or drawing them, discussing them? Then we have the club—clubs, actually—for them.

Our new book club for teens has comics, pizza, and the secret to eternal happiness—which, coincidentally, is comics and pizza.

Our next meeting will be 5 p.m. on Jan. 3 at our Main Branch. We’ll talk about Hawkeye #1. Teens can pick up a free copy at the Reference Desk in our Main Branch.

If your child likes comics but is too young for Comics & Pizza, then check out our Comics Club.

Our club is for any 8- through 12-year-old who likes to read, talk about, or draw sequential art. (Not just superheroes either. We love everything from Teen Titans Go to manga to Raine Telgemeier.)

Each month our club does something different. Our young artists have gotten advice from comics pros and used each other as drawing models.

We meet from 7 to 8 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month at our Main Branch. Our next meeting is Jan. 3.

To register your child for the Comics Club, you can call the library at (440) 255-8811 ext. 221.
