Your most techno-phobic can get a free introduction to Facebook or email this month at Mentor Public Library’s Lake Branch.

Do you have a friend or relative who keeps asking you how to use email or Facebook?

Send them to us.

We’re hosting a pair of computer classes that can help your most techno-phobic associate this month at our Lake Branch. (If you’re not familiar with our Lake Branch, that’s the pretty building that looks like a lighthouse in Mentor-on-the-Lake.)

The classes include:

  • an introduction to email at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 14. This class will teach you how to send, reply, label and archive emails. We’ll also show you how to send attachments like photos, Word documents, and short videos.
  • Facebook basics at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 15. This hands-on class will demonstrate basic Facebook features and tips. Please come to class with your Facebook login information and password.

Both of the classes are free. However, registration is required; and, because space is limited, you’ll want to sign up as soon as possible. You can sign up by calling us at 440-257-2512.

If you need one-on-one help for your tablet, laptop, or smartphone, you can get personal device advice from 10 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 2 p.m. every Thursday this month at our Lake Branch. Please call 440-257-2512 to register ahead of time.

Additionally, your Mentor Public Library gives you free access to dozens of free online computer classes via Gale Courses. Learn everything from computer basics to advanced techniques for Microsoft, Adobe, Photoshop, and other applications from the convenience of your own computer.
