We're offering free introductions to both computers and the Internet this March at our Lake Branch.

We’re offering free introductions to both computers and the Internet this March at our Lake Branch.

Do you know someone who’s techno-phobic? Do they have a computer but won’t even turn it on?

We can help.

We’re offering a pair of classes that will offer a gentle introduction to computers and the Internet in March at our Lake Branch.

The classes include:

  • an introduction to computers (our most basic class) at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 10. People will learn the basic skills they need to use a computer—no previous experience required. This is where you start when you don’t know where to begin.
  • basic Internet skills at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 11. Learn how to navigate the Internet. (Nothing too intense, you won’t be hacking the Pentagon by the end of this session.) You’ll need to know how to use a keyboard and a mouse for this class.

Both classes are free and open to everyone. However, we do ask that you register beforehand. You can sign up by calling our Lake Branch at (440) 257-2512.

By the way, our Lake Branch also offers one-on-help tech help for people who want to learn more about their computers, tablets, and other technology from 10 to 11 a.m. and 1  to 2 p.m. every Thursday.

It doesn’t matter if you’re having trouble with your tablet, laptop, or smartphone. We’ll try to help.

Our device advice is free. However, we do ask that you sign up beforehand, so we can make sure to have a spot open for you.

Please call 440-257-2512 to register ahead of time.
