Creating with the Comics Club

There are a lot of ways to love comics. You can write them, draw them, and (of course) read them.

Our Comics Club is for all types of sequential-art enthusiasts: artists, writers, and readers.

And while we love Spider-Man and Wonder Woman, we talk about more than superheroes. We love everything from manga to Noelle Stevenson.

Each month our club does something different. Our young artists have gotten advice from comics pros and used each other as drawing models. The club is open to all children from eight to 12 years old. If your kid loves comics, they’re welcome to join us.

We meet from 7 to 8 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month at our Main Branch. Our next meeting is Aug. 1.

To register your child for the Comics Club, call the library at (440) 255-8811 ext. 221.
