You may have heard about the new drive-thru we’re adding to our Main Branch.
Pretty soon, you’ll be able to pick up your holds at Main without even leaving your car.
How soon? Very.
Construction for the drive-thru starts April 25 and is expected to finish in June.
During construction, the Mentor Avenue driveway to the Main Branch will be closed.
You’ll still be able to reach our main lot via Lauren J Drive, as well as park in our auxiliary lot at the corner of Mentor Avenue and Sharonlee Drive.
Additionally, you’ll still be able to drop off items outside of the building during hours when the library’s closed.
Along with the drive-thru, there are changes coming to the traffic flow around our Main Branch.
The Mentor Avenue driveway will reverse directions and become exit only. Also, drivers will only be able to turn right from the drive-thru onto Mentor Avenue to prevent traffic backup.
Finally, the library is also adding a concrete barrier lift gate with sensors in front of the drive-thru’s transaction window as a safety precaution.
Keep checking our website for updates on the drive-thru project and changes at your library.
