Friends Book Store Now Open Upstairs!

Our new store near the main entrance is an excellent opportunity for Library Patrons to purchase great items at very reasonable prices between the Book Sales. The inventory is constantly changing, so stop in often to find that special item at a bargain price.

Book Store Hours

Monday	6:30 to 8:30 pm
Tuesday	4:00 to 6:00 pm
Thursday	10:00 to 2:00 pm
Saturday	12:00 to 4:30 pm

Friends Book Sales


The Friends of the Library hold book sales in Spring, Summer and Fall. Friends of the Library receive a 10% discount on their purchases. (Non-members may join at the door). Proceeds from the Book Sales are used to benefit the Mentor Public Library.

Saturday, July 19th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

There is no Friends preview or discount at this sale.

Book Donations

Cleaning out your collection? Kids outgrowing their childhood favorites? Moving? Donate your unwanted books (fiction and non-fiction, hardbound or paperback), videotapes and DVDs, audiobooks, music CDs and cassettes, magazines, even jigsaw puzzles to the Friends for their sale. Materials may be dropped off at the Main Library anytime. Call ahead of time and we'll help you unload. And remember - your donation is tax-deductible.

Membership and Meetings

Who are the Friends of the Library? They are Library patrons and others who wish to encourage a closer relationship between the Library and the community, and to promote knowledge of the resources, services and needs of the Library.

2008 Friends Meetings will be on the following dates:
Tuesday, July 8, at 6:00 pm
Tuesday, September 9, at 6:00 pm
