Tweens made s’mores, friendship bracelets and terrible puns during the Outdoor Summer Camp Adventure at our Read House earlier this month.

The kids mastered skills and earned badges in everything from astronomy to puns. They also played fun games, including a supersized version of the triangle peg game that uses pool noodles.

By the way, there’s still time to sign up for Summer Reading!

Everyone who participates in our summer reading program has a chance to win prizes. Those prizes include gift cards from local businesses, tickets to the Great Lakes Science Center and Cleveland Botanical Garden, as well as passes to Lake Metroparks Farmpark or the City of Mentor’s pools and ice rink. Kids who read or are read to up to 15 hours will also receive a Library Champion lawn sign and window cling.

The more someone reads, the better chance they have of winning.

For more information on our summer reading program, call us or check out our event calendar.
