Looking for a relaxing, low-impact way to get moving and reduce stress. Try chair yoga!

Mentor Public Library is hosting a free chair-yoga session at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, in our Main Branch as part of our Get Healthy series.

The sessions will be guided by the professionals from Awaken Yoga in Mentor. They will teach some positions and maneuvers that can be practiced from the comfort of a chair.

Yoga has been linked to everything from reduced stress and boosted immunity to weight loss and stronger muscles.

Come join us and see what yoga can do for you.

In October, our Get Healthy series continues with a talk from Dr. Misty Morris. She’ll recommend ways to increase your energy naturally.

All of our Get Healthy programs are free and open to the public. You can also scale them to your fitness level. Attend one of them; come to all of them; and get healthier!

By the way, Awaken Yoga staff will be back at the library on Thursday, Sept. 29, to talk about Reiki—a natural form of stress relief and self-healing. That program’s free too.
