Young scientists have one more chance to blow stuff up this summer at our Headlands Branch.

Our Get Ready, Get Set, Blow Up & Read series concludes at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13.

During the series, kids have combined household items—like Alka-Seltzer tablets and water or vinegar and baking soda—to see how the chemicals react. Moreover, they’ve learned why the chemicals react that way and what causes them to explode.

The program is free and open to all kids entering kindergarten through fifth grade. They can sign up for the program online or by calling our Headlands Branch at (440) 257-2000.
