Enjoy Global Music Mania at the library

Kids can learn how to make and play a variety of musical instruments from around the world during Global Music Mania.

Children can make castanets, kalimbazampoña, and more. Make a little noise at the library. None of us will shush you. (That’s a cliché, anyhow.)

Global Music Mania begins at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, at our Lake Branch. It’s free to attend and open to all kids entering kindergarten through fifth grade. We only ask that you RSVP. You can sign up online or call us at (440) 257-2512.

Global Music Mania coincides with Make Music Day — an international celebration where everyone is encouraged to make music. This year, musicians will be playing in 700 cities around the world, including Mentor.

Join the fun and make some music.

Speaking of music and libraries, we loan ukuleles now.

Yeah, you can borrow soprano and concert ukuleles from us the same way you would a book or movie.

Just one more reason we rock this summer.
