The young artists of Studio MPL sought inspiration from the season during their meeting Monday.
They used most of the color spectrum—from soft yellows to dusky purples—to paint beautiful autumn sunsets.
They also created spooky silhouettes and Halloween-themed sketches.
Every month, the kids of Studio MPL take on a new art project. They’ve sketched live artists, created imaginary friends, made sun catchers, painted sunsets, weaved, tried out pointillism and even garnered inspiration from Jackson Pollock.
The club is open to all kids from third through sixth grade. It meets on the third Monday of each month.
If you have a child who loves art but isn’t old enough for Studio MPL, they can check out our new Studio MPL Jr. at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, at our Main Branch. It’s for kids from kindergarten through 2nd grade
You can sign up for Studio MPL on our website or by calling the library at 440-255-8811 ext. 221.
