Learn about these bloodthirsty suckers during a special event with Lake County General Health District on Saturday morning, Aug. 18, at our Main Branch.

Mosquitoes can be more than a bloodthirsty irritation. They can infect people with diseases like West Nile and St. Louis Encephalitis viruses.

That’s why the Lake County General Health District has a control program to reduce the risk of mosquito-borne diseases.

Families can learn more about local mosquito control and check out one of the Health District’s spray trucks during a special event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 18, at our Main Branch.

No registration is necessary. See how the Health District helps fight the bite.
