Learn what happened in both German and world history when the Nazis took power from 1933 to 1945 during a special talk at Mentor Public Library.

Our own Dr. John Foster prepared very diligently for his annual International Holocaust Remembrance Day program where he discussed the history of National Socialism in Germany.

In fact, he acquired so much information that we had to split his talk into two parts. He discussed the rise of the Nazis in January. (If you missed it, you can watch his talk in its entirety on our website.)

Now, he will discuss what happened between when the Nazis seized power in 1933 and their demise in 1945 during a special program at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, at our Main Branch.

In addition to being a reference librarian, Foster earned a doctorate degree in history with a specialization in Modern German History. He has taught topics as diverse as the Holocaust and Napoleon’s rise to power.

This program is free and open to everyone. You can register to attend on our website or by calling us at (440) 255-8811 ext. 221.
