Do you feel that? Your Mentor Public Library just became even more valuable.

We’ve added 11 more databases to our collection. You can now learn about car repair, research your genealogy or study a foreign language. And it’s all free with your library card.

The new databases include:

  1. Chilton Library — Chilton provides detailed information you need to tackle vehicle maintenance and repairs. Doesn’t matter the year, make or model of your vehicle. You can even get labor estimates on specific repairs to make sure that your mechanic isn’t ripping you off.
  2. Fold3 — The first of three genealogy databases that we’re adding. Research your family’s military history going back to the Revolutionary War.
  3. HeritageQuest — Search for your family’s history through censuses, cemeteries, city directories, military and immigration records, and more public records.
  4. African-American Heritage — A genealogy database that specializes in African-American heritage, complete with state-by-state guides and a volunteer-staffed forum.
  5. Hobbies & Crafts Reference Center — The perfect place for the Pinterest-ed. Find gorgeous ideas for experienced crafters or something fun and easy for the entire family.
  6. Home Improvement Reference Center — For the DIYer. Get helpful advice on maintenance, plumbing, electrical, woodworking, remodeling and outdoor projects. With easy-to-follow, step-by-step guides for any venture.

  10. Transparent Language — Transparent Language offers a simple, intuitive way to learn the basics of more than 100 different languages—pretty much any language you can think of, everything from Albanian to Zulu. It also has more than 30 English-as-a-second-language courses for those learning English.
  11. Very Short Introductions — Because brevity is still the soul of wit. Take a modest dive into hundreds of subjects with these intelligent introductions written by experts in their field. Browse the more than 500 available books.
