Does your child enjoy playing with words? They can come play at our free poetry workshop at 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, at The HUB inside of Mentor High School.

Children will learn how they can make poems in creative ways. For example, they will make “headline” or collage poetry where they clip words from magazines and newspapers and use them to make poems.

We’ll also make blackout poetry — blacking out old book pages to transform them into new poems.

The workshop is free and open to all kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. You can register to attend on our website or call us at 440-205-6011.

By the way, if you child loves writing, then they’ll probably enjoy, our Wordplay Writing Club for kidsWrite On Club for teen writersand, finally, our new monthly Teen Creative Club at The HUB where teens can share their short stories, poetry, photography, music and artwork.
