Kids got inspired by pop art during a special program at the library earlier this summer.
They made silhouette collages and created animals out of old newspaper.
If your child likes creating art, they should check out Studio MPL.
Every month, the kids in Studio MPL take on a new art project. They’ve sketched live models, celebrated Day of the Dead, created imaginary friends, made sun catchers, weaved, tried out pointillism and even garnered inspiration from Jackson Pollock, Roy Lichtenstein and Joan Miró.
The club is free to attend and open to all kids in first through fifth grade. Its currently on hiatus for the summer but will return in autumn.
