Our young artists from Studio MPL Jr. experimented with painting autumn skies and sunsets on Thursday.
They learned how water can blur colors and make their skies look more realistic.
They also played a round of Monster Box while their paintings dried, and they had to guess what monster parts were hiding in various boxes.
Studio MPL Jr. is our newest art club. It’s for children in kindergarten through second grade. (If your child is in third through sixth grade, they can join our original Studio MPL.)
Every month, the kids in our art clubs take on a new art project. They’ve sketched live models, created imaginary friends, made sun catchers, painted sunsets, weaved, tried out pointillism and even garnered inspiration from Jackson Pollock.
Our next Studio MPL meeting is Monday, Nov. 21, at our Main Branch. (Unfortunately, Studio MPL Jr. is taking a brief, Thanksgiving-induced hiatus; but it’ll be back soon.)
Both clubs are free to join. However, we do ask that you register beforehand. You can sign up online or by calling (440) 255-8811 ext. 221.
