Wow. That was fast.
Like that, our Summer Reading program has concluded for another year.
But time flies when you’re having fun, and we sure had a lot! We learned about nutrition and ninjas, built Jenga towers taller than us, and piloted drones. We met Purple Heart recipients, tried Tai Chi and found Dory.
And we read books! So many books!
More than 1,400 kids joined our Summer Reading program and read more than 18,000 hours. Additionally, more than 500 of them earned a free book—just by playing outside.
And more than 400 teens and adults signed up for our summer reading program, as well. Together, they read 2,300 books.
This summer, we stimulated our creativity, satisfied our curiosity and—most of all—never stopped learning.
So, yes, our Summer Reading program has ended, but the learning never does. And neither does the fun.
Join us for our End of Summer Reading party from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, at our Read House.
We’ll have fun carnival games, and kids can see if they won one of our awesome Summer Reading prizes.
See you at the party!
