Team building (and playing) at the library

Each Make-It Monday, we offer games and crafts that involve a different aspect of building. (As you may recall, our Summer Reading theme is Build a Better World.)

This week, our theme was Team Building, so we offered activities where the kids needed to work as a group.

For example, kids could run a maze where one was blindfolded and another, un-blindfolded child helped them through it.

They also had to pass a hula-hoop around a circle where everyone was holding hands and no one could let go.

They even drew a mural where they each described how they would make the world a better place.

We hope the kids had fun and learned that some goals require a team.

We’re hosting Make-It Mondays at 1 p.m. at our Read House on each Monday during Summer Reading.

Every week, we’ll have a different theme, as well as different crafts and games. It’s free and open to all kids. No registration necessary!

This upcoming Monday, we’re building with sand.
