We’re hosting a trio of free online math refreshers to help students prepare for their ACT and SAT this October.
The sessions will be led by John Foster, a MPL librarian who has taught at both high school and college levels.
Each session will focus on a different element of math (algebra, geometry and trigonometry.) Students will have help working through a series of problems with plenty of opportunities to ask questions along the way.
The programs are:
- Algebra at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8
- Geometry at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15
- Trigonometry at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22
All sessions will be hosted via Zoom and are free to attend. Registration is required. You can sign up on our online event calendar or by calling us at (440) 255-8811 ext. 247.
By the way, the library offers a pair of digital services that can help you prepare for your big test. Lynda has online video courses for the ACT, PSAT and SAT. Additionally, Method Test Prep offers a comprehensive, self-paced program that’s been proven to improve ACT and SAT scores.
Crucially, both Lynda and Method Test Prep are free to use with your Mentor Public Library card.
