Discover the macabre history of the Mounds Club and more during a special program at Mentor Public Library’s Lake Branch.

As part of Mentor Mystery Month, you can learn about Lake County’s criminal history during a special program at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at our Lake Branch.

Discover the history of:

  • Lake County’s cringe-worthy first murder
  • Party girl and husband-slayer Velma West
  • the old days of the Mounds Club and its mafia ties.

The speaker will be Vince Wilson from the Lake County History Center.

The program is free to attend and open to all. We only require that you register beforehand. You can sign up online or call us at (440) 257-2512.
