On Dec. 10, Lake County returned to Level 3 or “red.” Now that the county is no longer Level 4, Mentor Public Library will reopen its Main, Headlands, and Lake Branches to the public on Monday, Dec. 14.
When we reopen, all previous health and safety measures – including social distancing, mandatory masks, and intermittent cleaning closures – will still be in place.
However, our remote services are still available, even when our buildings reopen to the public. Those services include:
- Pick-Up Printing: Request a print online, then pick it up contact-free at any of our branches
- Telephone & Email Reference Help: If you have a question, you can call our librarians and we’ll help you find answers. You can also email your reference questions to us, if you prefer.
- Contactless Borrowing & Returns: As previously mentioned, you can pick up items at our drive-thru or curbside. You can also return our materials in the outdoor book drops at all locations.
- Crafts, Cones & More: You can get more than books, movies, and music curbside or at our drive-thru. We have grab-and-go crafts that you can request. You can also pick up items from our Library of Things, including hotspots, board games, traffic cones, cake pans, and more. If you want a craft or something from our Library of Things, call us first. Some of our items (including hotspots) involve paperwork that you’ll need to fill out.
If you need other services, call us and we will work with you to see if a reasonable accommodation can be made.
