Kids can learn how to make their own ice cream from scratch at home during our next Virtual Vittles program.

Kids (ages seven to 12) can learn how to make their own ice cream from scratch at home during our next Virtual Vittles online cooking class at 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14.

Our own Chef Robin will show you how to make the sweet treat via Zoom. (Adults are welcome to help their kids too.)

We’ll even provide almost all the ingredients that children need to participate. First, you register for Virtual Vittles. You can sign up online or call us at (440) 255-8811 ext. 220. Then, you can pick up the ingredients in our children’s department.

Because the ingredients need to be refrigerated, you’ll have to (a.) call ahead before you pick them up and (b.) come inside the library to get them. You’ll also need to have three cups of ice ready to make your ice cream.

By the way, we handle all food items in the safest way possible. Gloves and mask are worn at all times while preparing your child’s portion, and all work surfaces are kept clean. Of course, if you prefer to purchase your own ingredients, you can call our children’s department to get a supply list.
